WHO WE ARE:

In early 2015, we successfully expanded and began offering a full range of I&E services including:

WHY WE DO IT:

At TRC Construction, we consider safety to be an unwavering corporate value. We are committed to a strong safety culture.

HOW WE DO IT:

Here at TRC we use a documented and systematic approach to managing the safety of our employees and the locations where we work. Our leadership stands 100% behind it’s “find and fix” approach to workplace hazards.

Each employee receives training on an initial, monthly, and annual basis. This enables all crew members to identify hazards and gives them the tools and resources to mitigate the hazards. Because of the wide variety of site conditions, these elements should be implemented on a site-specific basis to effectively detect and correct the hazards.

We have several documents to follow to ensure the safety of our crew, site visitors and the environment. This includes but is not limited to:

• Sub-Surface Utility Checklist

• Start Work Authority

• Site Specific Safety Plan (SSSP)

• Fire Prevention Plan (FPP)

• Job Safety Analysis (JSA)

• Hot Work Permits

• Excavation Checklists

• Safety Audits

• Safety Observations

• Equipment and Vehicle Inspections

• Operator and Spotter Agreement

• Stop Work Authority

Before a job begins TRC starts with a “Subsurface Utility & Engineering Checklist”, this enables all individuals involved with the job a checklist to ensure nothing has been overlooked. We then implement a “Start Work Authority Checklist” to ensure all tasks of a job has been identified and each member of the crew knows what will be expected. This document also identifies one specific person responsible for the site safety. This employee’s is to stop any visitors or sub-contractors to the site and communicate the hazards and our mitigations. Then comes TRC’s JSA. This document is used on a site-specific basis to identify and communicate all the hazards found and what TRC shall be doing to mitigate those hazards. To ensure nothing gets overlooked TRC also implements a “Site Specific Safety Plan” and a ”Fire Prevention Plan” for each of its major jobs.
